One Year of EMEN
(07 December 2018) - Active since October 2017, the European Migrant Entrepreneurship Network (EMEN) was officially launched on 7 December 2017 during a successful public event organised by AEIDL in Brussels. One year later, it is interesting to make a first assessment of the progress made.
Migration flows and integration policies – Data, evidence and best practices in the EU
(03 December 2018) - Migration is not an emergency but a global fact. We need to move from emergency measures to long-term policies implemented through multi-level governance mechanisms. This was the message of the ESPON-Interact Joint Conference, on 22-23 November in Athens, backed up by a range of good practices. Patricia Martinez Sáez (AEIDL) reports.
Integrating migrants from the local to the European level
(26 November 2018) - Patricia Martinez Sáez (AEIDL) attended the ‘Integrating Cities’ conference hosted by the City of Milan on 7-8 November 2018. Establishing a strong policy dialogue to develop integration strategies for migrants from the local to the European level was the key message of the event.
Local strategies for retaining and attracting talents
(16 November 2018) - A workshop on “Local development strategies: retaining and attracting talents in the regions” took place on 11 October 2018 in the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities.
AEIDL with ELARD in China
(02 November 2018) - Enrique Nieto (AEIDL) was among the 10 experts in rural development that formed the first mission to China of the European LEADER Association for Rural Development (ELARD). Public authorities there are interested in implementing the LEADER participative approach.
