Fernando Barreiro

We are very saddened at the news of the death of Fernando Barreiro, a member of AEIDL, a long-standing friend and colleague, an unfailing local development activist.

The members and staff of AEIDL wish you a merry holiday season and a happy New Year.

(10 December 2018) - The Social Innovation Community (SIC) project, coordinated by AEIDL, is coming to the end of its three-year duration with two key events in November that allowed the team to showcase its achievements and to discuss with policy-makers and stakeholders how best to advance the social innovation agenda.

(07 December 2018) - Active since October 2017, the European Migrant Entrepreneurship Network (EMEN) was officially launched on 7 December 2017 during a successful public event organised by AEIDL in Brussels. One year later, it is interesting to make a first assessment of the progress made.

(03 December 2018) - Migration is not an emergency but a global fact. We need to move from emergency measures to long-term policies implemented through multi-level governance mechanisms. This was the message of the ESPON-Interact Joint Conference, on 22-23 November in Athens, backed up by a range of good practices. Patricia Martinez Sáez (AEIDL) reports.
