A consultant and founder of BIPLAN ‘Territoires, Formation, Réseaux’, Odile Plan specialises in the provision of technical assistance to social and development projects. She is also the coordinator of biplan.over-blog.com and a member of the French Rural Network, of CVC (Collectif Ville-Campagne) and of Source, a resource centre for rural tourism and heritage.
As the director of GREP (Research Group on Education and Prospective) between 1995 and 2007, she was responsible for the "Pour" magazine and worked on different European projects in the field of rural development, support to SMEs, pluriactivity, and the territorial organisation of work and gender.
She began her career in 1973 at the French Ministry of Education, implementing the first integration initiatives for young people without qualifications. From 1988 to 1995, she was head of the office in charge of rural coordination, inter-institutional relations and European projects at the French Ministry of Agriculture.
