Katalin has worked as a project manager and researcher for studies and evaluations of EU programmes (ESF, PROGRESS, EQUAL, LEADER, INTERREG, Urban development) for over 15 years. Her specific expertise lies in the fields of rural development, local employment development and local governance. She is most familiar with socio-economic research, social affairs and inclusion issues, as well as with rural, urban and regional development. She was involved in a series of projects supporting networking among local actors and local economic development.
Since 2006, she has been head of projects at AEIDL, where she has gained evaluation experience in various aspects of cohesion policy and rural development. In September 2012, she completed an intensive course on Counterfactual Impact Evaluation. Katalin is a Geographical Expert for France with the European Network for Rural Development since 2014 and was previously part of the European Social Fund Evaluation Network (2010-2013).
Among others, Katalin has recently been involved in the URBACT study on Local Action Plans (2015), ‘ESF support to Community-Led Local Development’ (2013), the report on ‘Urban development in the EU: 50 projects supported by ERDF from 2007-2013 period’ (2012).
She is a French native speaker and is fluent in English and Italian.
