Senior Policy Expert.


Enrique is Senior expert on Territorial Development policies of AEIDL (the European Association for Information on Local Development). In that role, he is engaged in several projects of the organisation, mostly on the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) since 2015 where he currently coordinates the Thematic Group on Smart Villages and carries out analysis of rural development policies for the European Commission and other stakeholders.

Enrique started his career at FAO as consultant on youth employment policies. In 2013, he joint AEIDL as the Evaluation Officer of Rural Development Policies of the ENRD. Later, he also worked in The European Fisheries Areas Network (FARNET) as a policy officer. Enrique has also been the Quality Officer of the communication team of the LIFE Programme during the last 3 years.

Of Spanish nationality, Enrique holds a Forest Engineer degree. As well, he holds an International MSc in Rural Development (IMRD) and currently finalising a Master on International Business and Economics. He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
