FARNET Team Assistant.

Shane joined the AEIDL team in September 2016 to work on the FARNET project, the European Fisheries Areas Network, as Team Assistant.

Prior to this he worked for several organisations in Brussels including the European Parliament, Edelman and Dods EU Monitoring. Before coming to Brussels, he worked on various different political campaigns in the UK and Ireland.

He holds a Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe in Warsaw and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He’s a keen writer having been published in several national publications in Ireland including The Irish Times.

A native English speaker, he is also proficient in French and has conversational Spanish.
