Monique joined AEIDL in 1992 to set up the secretariat of the LEADER I Co-ordinating Unit. In 1995, she took over the job of Assistant to the Director of the European LEADER II Observatory. Prior to joining AEIDL, Monique worked for three years as the Senior Secretary of a Head of Unit in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment (Internal Market).

Since the beginning of 2002, she has been the LIFE communications Team Assistant. Her responsibilities include: assisting the team coordinator in "transversal” and administrative tasks; coordinating editorial work on LIFE project summaries; gathering and uploading interesting LIFE publications in the LIFE project database; and writing and updating annual factsheets outlining the LIFE programme’s status in each Member State. Monique is also in charge of the monthly, interim and final reports of the communication activities to the clients.

Monique has a University Degree in Translation. Although she completed her education in French, German could be considered her second mother tongue and, when necessary, Monique can make use of her range of linguistic skills: French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and elementary Greek.
