A university professor and researcher specialising in public economics and local authority finance, Pierre Barge teaches at Université de Paris VIII. As an economist and consultant to local authorities and their partners, his field of intervention is directly linked to local development, especially the financial and socio-economic aspects. In parallel with these activities, Pierre is involved in many associations and networks operating in the not-for-profit sector or in the social economy. He was the president of AEIDL from 1996 to 2002, and of ADELS (Association pour la démocratie et l’éducation locale et sociale), as well as the editor of the “Territoires” magazine.
