Holger Kuhle

Holger Kuhle is currently working as policy advisor for knowledge partnerships at GIZ, the German agency for international cooperation.

His previous employer was the Investitionsbank Berlin, a public financial institution for SMEs and infrastructure, where he worked as a project manager. His main tasks were to propose and conduct prospective studies and to manage pilot projects in the field of urban economic development, at European, regional and local (cross-border) levels.

Since 1999, he has been involved in innovative projects supported by the EU: the exchange of best practices and development of tools to foster microcredit in depressed urban and rural areas, methods to promote employment at local level, etc.

Holger also lectured on a Master’s course in “European Administrative Management”, with a particular focus on regional and local development, at the Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Rechtspflege (FHVR), a university college for public administration and law in Berlin.
