Margot has over 12 years’ experience working in different European Technical Assistance Networks. She has been a permanent member of the FARNET Support Unit since end 2014 and prior to that worked at the Helpdesk of the European Evaluation Network for Rural Development. She has built-up significant experience in supporting capacity building for Member State managing authorities, national networks and local action groups, in both community-led local development and evaluation (in fisheries and rural areas).
Besides her work as country-coordinator for IT, BE, NL and DK, Margot has been heavily involved in organising different formats of capacity building and communication events (from 50 to 450 participants, pluri-lingual, including parallel workshops, project fairs etc.). She also has solid experience in developing quality-controlled information collection, providing analysis for data-driven expert reports, and supporting monitoring and evaluation of policy instruments and programmes related to the European Structural Funds. Between 2005 and 2008, Margot worked on various European evaluations of rural development and LEADER programmes, prior to which she was active in research concerning agro-meteorology and climate.
Margot is an environmental engineer and speaks Dutch, Italian, English, French and Spanish.
