As a result, Member States have the possibility to use remaining funds from cohesion funds of the 2014-2020 programming period to provide emergency support to people fleeing from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in their territory.

This includes investments in education, employment, housing, health and childcare services, but also on basic material assistance like food and clothing.

In addition the implementation period of the three Home Affairs funds will be extended by one year.
