During this AEIDL Talks session, Michel Laine, board member at AEIDL, shares his expertise on the Italian “Aree Interne” initiative. It is a policy approach intended to ensure local development throughout Italy, developed to rectify the demographic decline in the country’s rural inner areas.

Michel will share his understanding of the main threats present in Italian rural and inner areas, analysing the successes and failures of the implementation stage of the policy initiative, mentioning the rationale behind the approach.

Michel was an external member of the structure supporting the design and implementation of the Aosta Valley’s regional development strategy. Considering his practical experience, he looks at this approach through a pragmatic eye that he wishes to share with his audience.

This seminar is a significant opportunity for interested parties and professionals in the field of local development throughout Europe to learn significant lessons for the future in the area of local development.

Participation is open and free to all.

The event will take place online on Tuesday July 6 from 2PM to 3PM CET.
