EU funding will be used to carry out systematic registrations in rural areas, digitise and classify existing archives, train the staff involved, develop the use of information and communication technologies within the registration services, and improve project management and monitoring.

Less than a quarter of properties in Romania are currently registered. The ERDF project covers 660 administrative units in seven rural areas in Romania.

By mapping and digitising real estate in the central cadastral database, this project will contribute to covering the entire Romanian territory.
