‘coLAB – A laboratory for new forms of collaboration’ is a project initiated by IHECS, in partnership with the London College of Communication (London), Clermont-Auvergne University (Clermont-Ferrand) and LUMSA (Rome).

coLAB aims to promote a comprehensive school/community approach to improve the social integration of migrants and refugees in academia.

The result of this action will be a handbook of good practices on the integration of migrants and refugees as teachers and experts in higher education institutions.

Following the selection of the project by the Council of Europe within the framework of the call for projects under the DISCO (Democratic and Inclusive School Culture in Operation) initiative, Sophie Henrad, coordinator of IHECS international department, and Hélène Pochet, head of the coLAB project, were invited to Strasbourg for the launch conference of the selected projects. coLAB was one of two chosen from a total of 29 projects.
