Deadline extended! C4C applications are welcome until 21 April 2024

Great news! The deadline for submitting applications to join the Communities for Climate (C4C) initiative has been extended to Sunday, 21 April 23:59 (CEST). This extension provides an excellent opportunity for more local communities to participate and showcase their innovative climate solutions. Applications are welcome via this link

The application form is short and easy to complete, but before putting any effort in applying, be sure to check whether your innovative project idea is eligible for this action by completing the eligibility check!  

We have developed resources in all national languages covered by the call (Croatian, Estonian Finish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Spanish and Swedish). These are available on the C4C call page, and include recordings of national webinars, presentations, and naturally, the call text as well as the most frequently asked questions

With this initiative, 50 community-led projects will be selected to respond to climate change impacts locally in the 11 countries within the geographic scope.  

The projects should focus on one of the four thematic priorities: 1) nature and biodiversity, 2) water resource management, 3) circular economy, or 4) renewable energy.  

Those selected will benefit from a free-of-charge package, including specialised expertise, peer-learning, customised study visits, mentoring and coaching, and guidance on ways to make local community projects impactful and visible at European, national and local levels.
