(14 January 2014) – The ECOLISE network, which includes AEIDL, has inspired and is providing an overarching platform for “Share the Vision!“, an awareness-raising tour showcasing the variety and abundance of citizen-led initiatives all over Europe that strive to find and create pathways towards a sustainable future.
The initiative will capture the hopes and experiences of people who live and work within a broad variety of concrete projects that have a shared vision of a healthy planet. It will present innovative and creative approaches from ecovillages, permaculture projects, transition towns and degrowth initiatives, as well as institutes, universities and even governments.
The tour will start on the 22nd of April in 2015 and will cover 23 European countries along a route of about 15 000 km over five months. It will include press-conferences and public events in most of the capitals in order to facilitate fruitful exchange between bottom-up movements and decision-makers.
During the tour, the core-team of about ten people in the bus will be accompanied by 15 to 20 more participants. These can be activists, politicians, journalists as well as children and elders. These people will only participate in some parts of the tour, so that there will always be space for new people to join.
A larger meeting with representatives of the Global Ecovillage Network, the Transition Town, Permaculture and degrowth networks of Europe as well as representatives of ECOLISE is planned for further preparations and the building of a reliable partnership at the beginning of 2015.
