(21 September 2018) – The European Commission today launched the 3rd edition of the European Digital Skills Awards. They aim to reward local projects which contribute to the development of digital skills in Europe.
The European Digital Skills Awards 2018 will recognise initiatives that have improved the digital skills of Europeans at school, at work, for ICT specialists, for girls and women and in society in general.
The Awards are open to any organisation or company (e.g. national or local public authorities, businesses, education, non-governmental organisations, associations or a mix thereof) undertaking digital skills projects in Europe.
Today 43% of Europeans do not have basic digital skills. The Commission is particularly looking for success stories which could be scaled-up and replicated in other cities, regions, countries and sectors.
The final deadline for the submission of projects is 21 October 2018.
