(17 October 2017) – The FARNET Support Unit, which is co-managed by AEIDL within DevNet EEIG to coordinate the European fisheries areas network, has just released the 15th edition of the FARNET Magazine.

Three reportages take us on a journey from the shores of one of the most important fisheries regions in the EU – Galicia – to Northern Sweden where the integrated Mittland Plus group has brought its coastal and inland communities together with a common vision for local development. The journey ends in Tirschenreuth, Bavaria, an inland area which is home to a centuries-old tradition of fish farming.
Local innovation and risk taking is the topic discussed in an interview with coordinators of fisheries local action groups (FLAGs) from Finland, France and Portugal.
This 15th edition of the FARNET Magazine also features articles on FLAG support to small-scale coastal fisheries, the challenge of generational renewal, and cooperation between FLAGs.
