Running from 1 January 2016 until 31 December 2020, the ISA² Programme supports the development of digital solutions that enable public administrations, businesses and citizens in Europe to benefit from interoperable cross-border and cross-sector public services.

The interim evaluation confirms that the implementation of ISA2 is well-aligned to relevant EU initiatives such as the Connecting Europe Facility and the Structural Reform Support Programme and the overall EU policy framework related to the digitalisation of EU public administrations.

Next steps of the programme will include more awareness raising and advisory efforts in regional and local administrations, improving the quality of existing solutions through a user-driven approach and ensuring that the results achieved by the programme are sustainable.
