(03 November 2020) – The ‘European Social Innovation and Impact Fund’ was launched with a guarantee provided by the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) and managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF).

By linking investors to social enterprises, the Fund aims to bridge the financing gap that these enterprises often face.
Funding will benefit social entrepreneurs who focus on solving pressing problems in education, food, health or social services.
In its first funding round, the Fund has already raised €4.5 million in capital and will issue the first loans to social enterprises by the end of 2020.
