LDnet is hosting a debate on Capacity building for Community Led Local Development in the context of its General Assembly, on14 February 2023 from 17:00 to 18:30 CET.
Capacity building is recognised as important for delivering successful local development programmes. But what do we mean by capacity building or capacity development in this context? What capacity needs are there in Local Action Groups and Managing Authorities? Should we focus on organisations such as local action groups or individuals? What are the most effective methods to build capacity to deliver high-quality local development? Should capacity building be more than just another training session? How can we measure improvements in capacity at local level?
These and other questions will be addressed in a moderated discussion that will include people with experience of designing, delivering and being on the receiving end of capacity building actions in rural, coastal and urban areas.
Participation in this online event is open to all LDnet members, friends and contributors who can register HERE.
