(09 December 2015) – The European Parliament’s Press Service is holding a seminar to provide members of the media and institutional representatives the opportunity to go over the Commission’s proposals on migration and asylum rules. A specific leaflet summarizes them.
The proposals deal with a relocation mechanism for asylum seekers, a list of safe countries of origin, changes to the Dublin rules for determining Member States’ responsibility for unaccompanied minors, the EU Visa Code, conditions for non-EU students and researchers, and the smart borders package.
This leaflet provides extracts from relevant supporting analyses by Parliament’s policy departments, made for the committees on Budget, Budgetary Control, Civil Liberties, Foreign Affairs, and Gender Equality, and the Subcommittees on Human Rights, and Security and Defence.
