(30 May 2014) – A new guidance on evaluation plans was discussed with Member States in a joint meeting organised by DG EMPL and DG REGIO on 15 May.
This guidance will support Managing Authorities in designing the evaluation plan that will be submitted to the monitoring committee not later than one year after the adoption of the programme.
According to the Commission, evaluations are an essential element of the strengthened result-focus of the policy. The evaluation plan will help to improve their quality and the use of their findings in the programming and reporting activities of the Managing Authorities. It will also help them to fulfil the new regulatory obligation to assess the impact of the programmes.
