(25 September 2017) – The SIC Learning Repository is a new, free, online, open resource, available for innovators, researchers and policy makers to improve their skills in designing for social innovation.

SIC

Social Innovation Community (SIC) is a Horizon 2020 project, managed by a consortium of 12 organisations across Europe including AEIDL, to support the large community which is growing around Social Innovation, by creating spaces for them to meet and synergize, and tools to strengthen their efforts.

The SIC Learning Repository is a bottom-up tool, which was developed and tested during a process of experimentation conducted in 5 cities in Italy, Estonia, Croatia and Norway. The repository provides tools that support the growth and development of social innovation starting from specific social challenges.

The SIC Learning Repository contains the following:

– a Handbook of Social Innovation in which learning materials and tools can be found on how to develop social innovation;

– the different tools used during the SIC experimentation mentioned above;

– a collection of SIC case studies illustrating the process of learning when starting social innovation in different contexts;

– a list of resources outside the SIC world useful to further support learning on social innovation.
