The event was focused on ‘Urban Social Innovation’, and conducted by the SIC partners in collaboration with Tilburg University’s European Social Innovation Week 2016 in the Netherlands.

The programme included a large variety of top-class lectures, case studies and interactive workshops around the topic: Why urban social innovations are needed?

SIC Summer Schools are open to all social innovation actors (local, regional and national authorities, researchers, students, policy makers, entrepreneurs, individuals working in NGOs or in private sector), and not only to those already embedded in the field, but also to the ‘unusual suspects’ who are willing to learn more about it and to take advantage of the opportunity for networking and meeting inspiring people from around Europe.

The second SIC Summer School will take place in Bologna in June 2017. The programme and registration link will very soon be available on both AEIDL’s and SIC’s websites.
