(04 June 2020) – AEIDL and LDnet organise a series of forward-looking webinars on ‘Rebuilding local economies after lockdown’, in cooperation with the Regional Studies Association (RSA Europe) and ELARD, the European association of LEADER groups.

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented both urban and rural areas with immense challenges. But it has also given rise to many interesting local responses and a good deal of discussion and appreciation.
In this series of webinars, we’ll look at how the lessons from these local responses and the longer-term changes in the social and economic landscape are reshaping the CLLD-type approaches to local development. We’ll look at opportunities and trade-offs or conflicts, and what “not going back doing the same as before” means for local strategies.
The webinars will be organised on a weekly basis (from 18 June to 9 July), “after work” in late afternoon (18.00 CEST), to allow practitioners and researchers exchange ideas in a relaxed format.
They will be short, up to 60 minutes, with short presentations from practitioners, facilitated discussion and scope for participants to share practices.
