Every effort pays off! After months of hard work, AEIDL has recently been awarded several new Horizon-financed projects in the Rural and Territorial Development field. A total of 5 projects have been added to our Horizon portfolio. Thus, in addition to TRANSFORM, DESIRA, SHERPA and MOVING, AEIDL will participate in GRANULAR, CODECS, BEATLES, GRASSCEILING and SAFEHABITUS. 

Working with a large set of partners (universities, research centres, local and regional authorities and civic organisations), and depending on the project, AEIDL will be in charge of the following two main tasks:

• Formulate new policy solutions in rural policy, sustainable farming, better data, safety, and inequalities in rural areas.
• Communicate about the outcomes of the project. 

To ensure optimal performance in delivering these projects, AEIDL considered it essential to reinforce its already strong expertise in these fields. Thus, our Rural and Territorial Development (RTD) team has been expanded with a new RTD officer, Maria Carla Lostrangio, alongside our new Senior Expert, Dr. Serafin Pazos-Vidal, who will coordinate the team together with five more members dealing with policy and communications: Blanca Casares, Julie de Galard, Miranda García, Lucía Garrido and Esther Kantu.
