Jul 3, 2015 | News

(03 July) – The Rural Development Programme (RDP) for the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg was formally adopted by the European Commission, outlining the country’s priorities for using the €368 million of public money that is available for the 2014-2020 period, including €100,6 million from the EU budget.

The RDP for Luxembourg focuses mainly on the environment (biodiversity, water and land management, greenhouse gas) and agricultural competitiveness through innovation. Young farmers will also receive special aid for first installation.

Today’s adoption brings the number of approved RDPs up to 56 (out of 118 programmes / €99.6 billion worth), meaning that programmes worth more than €62.9 billion have now been approved.

This week, the Commission also adopted France’s National Framework and the RDPs for Molise (Italy) and Murcia (Spain).
