(20 January 2016) – The two latest LIFE publications, coproduced by AEIDL, highlight the contribution the LIFE programme has made to environment protection and climate action.

‘Best LIFE Environment projects 2014’ (68 pages) showcases examples of practical solutions to many of the most pressing environmental challenges of the age, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change, using water less wastefully, protecting soil quality, managing and reusing waste and developing greener manufacturing processes.

Featuring more than 130 LIFE projects from 24 Member States, ‘LIFE and Climate change adaptation’ (116 pages) provides a wealth of examples of ways in which climate change adaptation can be mainstreamed. Thematic sections cover all the key sectors: strategic planning for adaptation at national and local level; urban resilience; agriculture; forests; water (including water management and flood protection); coastal areas; and biodiversity.
