URBACT study on the new instruments for integrated urban development

Dec 18, 2015 | News

(18 December 2015) – An URBACT study explores the new instruments of Cohesion Policy for sustainable integrated urban development, such as integrated territorial investments (ITI) and community-led local development (CLLD).

URBACT III will work with cities that will have to use a series of new instruments proposed in the EU Cohesion Policy for sustainable and integrated urban development.

Achieving a common understanding of these instruments, and the policy approaches on which they were built, was the objective of the study “Implementing new concepts and tools for sustainable urban development 2014-2020”, completed in 2015.

This study was based on a series of 3 working seminars involving representatives of cities, Managing Authorities and National Authorities. These seminars led to the production of 3 different thematic reports, and a synthesis.
