(14 June 2021) – On behalf of the European Commission, AEIDL produced an in-depth report documenting the Second Annual Forum on Endocrine Disruptors.

Endocrine disruptors can have harmful effects on our body’s system. They can cause chronic diseases, and affect hormonal, immune and vascular systems.
As part of the EU’s zero pollution ambition, the European Commission published the EU’s Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability on 14th October 2020. This formed the backdrop to the Second Annual Forum on Endocrine Disruptors, which took place virtually on 17-18 December 2020.
The Forum saw stakeholders working in the chemical industry, researchers, and NGOs gather to discuss the future of the policy needs, barriers, gaps, and solutions for policy development.
Since then, on 12th May 2021, the Commission has adopted its Zero Pollution Action Plan for a toxic-free environment, and AEIDL continues to follow the work of those involved in the Forum.
