Social innovation in LEADER

Jul 2, 2019 | Opinions

(02 July 2019) – This study, conducted by ÖAR and ZSI and coordinated by Robert Lukesch, analyses the importance and extent of projects with a specific focus on social innovation supported by the 77 LEADER Local Action Groups in Austria and examines the impact of these projects in each region.

The research also looks at the impact of these social innovations and the resulting change processes on women and men of different age groups and disadvantaged groups.

Methodologically, the analyses are based both on quantitative approaches (online survey of the LAGs and a quantitative “text mining” of approx. 1,700 project descriptions) and on qualitative approaches (interview-based case studies, focus groups with selected stakeholders).
