The ‘Service Contract for Establishing and Running FAME-NET’ is a contract financed by DG MARE and implemented by a consortium coordinated by COFAD. AEIDL participates as part of DEVNET EEIG, an equal partnership shared with Grupo Alba.
The FAME-NET Support Unit (FSU) has replaced the FARNET and FAME Support Units, two previous separate contracts, the former of which was implemented by DEVNET EEIG. The FSU is established under the European Maritime Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027 and has the aim of: providing monitoring and evaluation support; providing networking services for the European Fisheries Areas network, and; assisting EMFAF visibility and communication activities including assisting the INFORM EU-wide network of communication officers responsible for communicating EMFAF investments in the Member States.
The FSU provides this technical assistance to the European Commission, the EU Member States, and the Local Action Groups (LAGs).
AEIDL, within DEVNET, is involved in the coordination of the Community-led local development (CLLD) network of local groups, capacity building and cooperation. DEVNET also contributes to other core and ancillary tasks.
